Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to lay the foundation of the Kashi Corridor in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi. It is believed that this is the PM's dream project. Under this project, the work of completely transforming Banaras will be done. This corridor will build in 25,000 square meters; will pass through Kashi Vishwanath temple, Manikarnika Ghat, and Lalita Ghat. The narrow streets of Banaras, Food Street and River Front will also be cured.
After completion of the project, it will be possible to reach Baba Vishwanath Mandir via 50 feet wide road through Ganga. The road will also be cleaned and improved. Simultaneously, the work of conservation of ancient temples of Kashi continues.
By spending 24 crores, the two old libraries present here will be rebuilt and converted into a digital library. The buildings coming in the way of the corridor will be saved.
Where the government is engaged in the reconstruction of Kashi, the opposition is raising voice against it. According to them, many buildings in Kashi are being broken. Due to this, the historic image of this place is in danger.
