Trinamool declares election candidates, 41% women got tickets
Tickets for all the 42 seats have been announced for the Lok Sabha elections by the Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee informed that Munmun Sen got the ticket from Asansol and Shatabdi Roy from Birbhum. She said that this time her party will contest elections in Odisha, Assam, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Andaman.
41 Percent (16) women have been given tickets from the Trinamool Congress Party, out of which 10 current MPs will not contest elections. They will work for the party. Trinamool has also given tickets to four actresses, including Munmun Sen, Nusrat Jahan, Satabdi Roy, and Mimi Chakraborty.
